How to Operate a DMR+ Radio with the NordAls BM WPSD Repeater.

To connect and use your DMR+ radio with the 5P0nAls WPSD repeater-hotspot, please follow these steps:

General information for working this repeater:

1.      Repeater Transmit frequency: (UHF) 434.575 MHz

2.      Offset/Spacing: -2 MHz (Set your radio to transmit 2.0 MHz below the receive frequency)

3.      Configure DMR Settings:

o   Color Code: 13

o   Time Slot: 2 (for Brandmeister)

4.      Set Talkgroups:

5.      Danish Default BM Talkgroup: 238 (TG238) – No number prefix as the repeater defaults to Brandmeister (Time Slot 2)

6.      Other Talkgroups: Refer to the Brandmeister Talkgroup List or your local guide for more options.

7.      Programming Your Radio:

o   Enter the above frequency, color code, time slot, and talk group information into your radio's channel programming menu.

o   Save the channel and select it for use.

8.      Making a Call:

o   Ensure you are on the correct channel with the right Talk-Group and Time-Slot selected.

o   Press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button to transmit. Speak clearly, then release the PTT button to listen.

§  It is always a good idea to wait ½-1 sec. before talking after PTT, to establish the connection.

9.      Switching Talkgroups:

o   To access other talkgroups, use the radio’s menu or keypad to change the Zone and active talk group (TG) according to your needs.

§  No limitations on possible talk groups – just key-up

·         Check-listen for polite usage of the repeater-timeslot,

§  Non-default talk groups will time out after 15 minutes without activity. BM 238 is default.

10. Visit the Brandmeister and WPSD homepages for more information.

11. Check the 5P0nAls Dashboard for checking your RF access.

12. Testing - The DMR+ network is assessable. (But the local DMR+ repeater OZ9RAE located at the OZ1ALS Radio club is much better)

o   Operating on Timeslot 1

o   Add an 8000xxx prefix to the talkgroup -  8000238 for Denmark – or 8000001 for Worldwide.

If you run into issues, consult your radio’s manual or reach out via the support links provided on the WPSD homepage.
